My Vision

I created Soul Source Studio as the vehicle for my work as a liturgical artist and consultant. It seemed “spirit led” as I continued to explore the intertwining avenues of my art, teaching experiences, and spiritual reflection.
Lenten Altar
For seven years I have served as the Coordinator of Art in Ministry for First United Methodist in Oneonta, New York. There I developed art for the sanctuary, and taught art appreciation and techniques for all age levels.
My work was recognized by the Annual Conference which engaged me to produce large-scale backdrops for the Annual Conference sessions.
The Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts (FUMMWA), at both the national and jurisdictional levels, have invited me to serve as a clinician at their events and, in 2007, I was invited to serve as the national chair of the visual arts committee.
I have produced art in many forms for the sanctuary, particularly focusing on large-scale paintings and worship center design.
Annual Conference
Through Soul Source Studio, I also produce altar cloths, stoles, and other fabric art for use in worship and by worship leaders.
I delight in working with persons to engage their creative energy in the production of works of art, especially in media with which they may be unfamiliar. Discovering “the artist within” sets in motion a wonderful collaboration between persons and the Holy Spirit. The results are frequently quite wonderful surprising.
Workshops and Consultations
Liturgical Stole
I conduct workshops for persons seeking to develop their creative gifts for liturgical art, as well as to introduce new materials and concepts. These workshops are done at the local and regional levels for a variety of denominations.
I am available to consult with local churches as they consider incorporating liturgical art into their ministry.
I consult as well on the design and implementation of worship centers.
I accept commissions to produce pieces of art and liturgical vestments for clergy and for the chancel.
